A huge benefit of freelancing is the "exposure" to a diverse mix of talented crews. I've always been taking notes when watching seasoned photographers and cinematographers setting up their scene or frame in various situations. Somewhere along the way, I gained an interest in upping my game with my photography, especially when working in a part of the world I never thought I would be.The desire to capture higher quality images of my journeys quickly became a passion, and before I knew it I was being asked by some of my clients/friends I've worked with (as a sound mixer), to join them behind the camera as well.

One of the shows I've been blessed to film forOutside Beyond The Lens, has been an amazing compliment to my sound mixing career to the point that it has nearly become the main focus. This show has been the canvas I've been able to combine my sound experience with the knowledge from the cinematographers I've worked with to create some personally satisfying accomplishments and Emmy award wins.
